Brac is the largest island in central Dalmatia and the third largest island in the Adriatic. The island is located only 6-13 km from the mainland. Brac has Mediterranean climate: hot and dry summers, and short mild winters. As Brac island is located in the sunniest area of the Adriatic, it has some 2700 sunny hours annually. The average temperature is 9 ° C in the winter, and 25° C in the summer. The average sea temperature is 24°C in the summer, and 14°C in the winter.
